Papa Hog's SCUBA Emporium is Canada's original Mexican dive shop located in Cozumel, Mexico.

Founded in 1991 by Mike and Margaret Gerus, Papa Hog's is a leader in the dive industry delivering home town hospitality in the island setting with a SCUBA diving twist.

At Papa Hog's we welcome all beginner and experienced divers alike. We group divers with similar experience levels together in our six-pasenger fast boats. You can depend upon Papa Hog's and our Dive Masters to safely lead your dives the way you want.

Papa Hog's will pick-up you up when you choose a hotel south of town; from the Barracuda Hotel pier as far south as the Iberostar Resort. Stop in and arrange pick-up times.

Papa Hog's is not a cattle boat operation. SCUBA Dives are conducted from our six passenger dive boats which get you to and from the dive site fast. At times of inclement weather you still having the option to use the 48 foot Chris Craft in those rare times when the six passenger boats are not enough.

Even though Cozumel features the best high energy, low stress drift dives in the world, dive computers are encouraged.

All dive groups depart Papa Hog's in the morning at 8:30 AM and return at 12:30 in the afternoon. Afternoon dive groups depart at 1 PM and return at 5 that evening.

Our six-pack fast boats depart every morning at 8:30, getting you to the reefs early. While off gassing between dives, our boats pull up to beach side resorts. All boat dives include: Dive Master guide, two different reefs, refreshments, tanks, weights and belt.

We are fortunate to have a very popular shore diving reef only a few feet away from Papa Hog's Beach, called Villa Blanca Shallows / Papa Hog's Reef. You are welcome to come and do a shore dive from our beach. No need to bring a tank with you, we rent them here, and any other equipment you may need. Unlimited Shore Diving is included with the purchase of any of our Hotel - Diving Packages.

The fun begins at either San Juan or Barracuda Reefs for the first of "three" Dives. Then, it's off to a full day of Diving and Fishing the eastern side of the island. Make reservations ahead of time and please be a little flexible with the departure time. Weather and sea conditions are the determining factor here. We use our large and roomy 48 foot boat for this trip. Have Hog Town Cafe cook up your catch.

Papa Hogs offers any combination of SCUBA Diving, Deep Sea Fishing, Snorkeling adventure for your group or individually on the island.

**As of March 15, 1999 - The National Marine Park (Parque Nacional de Cozumel) is charging each diver a user fee of $2 per day to scuba dive in the National Marine Park (where most of the reefs are). The Park Fee will be collected by the Dive Operator you are diving with. The Dive Store will issue you a Park Bracelet good for One Day.
